Client Data Link for Cornerstone Title / Ryland Mortgage Corporation. Ryland Mortgage and Cornerstone are affiliates of Ryland Homes, Inc., one of the nations leading home builders. Cornerstone Title has offices scattered throughout the East, Midwest, and Southeastern United States. Cornerstone Title offices wanted to be able to dial up their client Ryland Mortgage, headquartered in Virginia, and download real estate closing data directly from the Ryland main frame computer to their Novell Network in order to save staff time. The Ryland computer database contained approximately 80% of the data Cornerstone needed to perform the typical real estate closing.
Professional Software Partners installed for Cornerstone the data communications software needed to establish the dial up connection to the Ryland main frame computer. A special computer program was developed to take the downloaded data and transfer it directly into the Landtech Real Estate Settlement System used by Cornerstone Title and generated an interest in expanding this approach in the future to do even more.
Collection Tracking Database for Trickel & Leigh, P.A. of Orlando, Florida. The firm needed a simple, efficient system that would track collection activity for a major Medical Industry client. They needed to monitor and track the activity of many individual collection cases and provide the client with weekly status reports in a format prescribed by the client.
Professional Software Partners developed a special database system that provides for maintenance of case specific information. Firm staff update the database as steps in the collection process are scheduled or are completed. Status reports are printed for the firm and the client weekly or as required. Case records can be accessed quickly by File Number or Name to answer inquiries. This system has provided for better internal case management and improved client relationship.
Timeshare Closing System for Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, the largest law firm in Orlando, Florida. The firm handles a high volume of Timeshare real estate closings per month for a major client. The real estate closing system is used very effectively for traditional residential closings would not allow them to process the timeshare closings efficiently. What they needed was a highly efficient system that would enable them to handle these closings for the client at a reasonable cost.
Professional Software Partners developed a database system that provided for the data entry and tracking of closing information flowing in from the client. This database was then interfaced with the dbLAW Trust Accounting and Check Writing system to process receipts and print checks in large batches for recordings, title insurance, sellers proceeds, etc. To further improve the efficiency of the process, Professional Software worked with the law firm's client to develop a method of providing closing data from the client's computer system. This data is sent via email and then downloaded directly, thus avoiding redundant data entry and improving accuracy. The system currently handles over 400 Timeshare closings per week on a very cost effective basis for several large Timeshare Developers.
